We met Dani (18) while he was hanging out with the Fitts For Fight-girls, and immediately noticed his fab do-it-yourself tote bag with a dinosaur print on it. The print was apparently made with a stencil and spray paint. We want one of those.

Tuxedo
This Saturday was a very special day in town. Every street was occupied by a hundred-man-marching-band. And they were all dressed in tuxedos. It was quite a sight. Well, later that day we ran into Jo (54), who works at the publishing company Bodoni. "I'm on my way to a party. We're celebrating the 150 year anniversary of Nygaard's Battalion at a pub."
Note:
The expression "marching band" was the best English one I could find for what we call "buekorps" in Norwegian. It's quite a Bergenesque phenomenon. They are...not bands. They march, but only use drums, and not trumpets and such.

Cherry baby
You have no idea, we really had to chase this girl around the corner to get a picture of her. Our attention was immediately brought to her scarf and bag, which were both glowing with all that good ol' retro-feeling. Linn (20) studies art and often shops at the local goodwill-store, Fretex. "I mostly like to shop when I'm in foreign countries."

Bright on a dark day
After running around the city for two entire hours, looking for people to take pictures of, we were ecstatic when we ran into Victoria (19) and Inga (21) from Lithuania. They are both currently based in Norway. Victoria works as an au-pair, while her friend Inga works at a designstudio. Do notice the lovely details of their apparel.

A walk in the park
The conveniently named Marie (15), Marie (16) and Maria (16). The girls are all part of the indie/rock/punk-band Razika (check out their Myspace!). "We're inspired by everything rave, indie. And we like to mix secondhand and new stuff."
